Pain's unavoidable; from birth, it tests the mettle of our worth. And the truth's veiled behind the lie that our souls ascend when we die. Trust is a ticket to deceive both believers and the naive. It takes a hardened heart to win, forged by greed and quenched in sin. Like Jekyll and Hyde, love-hate are conjoined boundaries of fate. Angels and monsters mirror me, reflecting raw reality. Dallying in the wake of fears, feelings, bequeath sadness, and tears. But when I exhale that last breath, oblivion will unmask death.
