Nostalgia

In Kolkata or in Rome With rose or tulip Every night we are back home In our fond fetal sleep Our body on its left side The torso a little hunched Knees bent in a comfort feel Mom in a flower bunch Whether snow or warmth The fetal sleep is a medicine The depressed bird from the north Flying towards a warm sunshine In a colored unconscious so dear In our sleep we love our mother _____________________________________ 27/11/2016

well ... thank you ... we do this more, and that too unknowingly, when we are in mental stress ... this is most intense nostalgia ... over and over again we desire to return to our absolutely safe abode ... it has had no parallel ... and for us who are males it is much more so ... you may not (not will not) exactly perceive that ...

Very good Probir. Excellent observation. In our sleep we tend to go back into the fetal position. Seems to be the most comfortable. A seven from me. God Bless, JB

Beautiful wisdom this poem is, Probir. Your pen is dipped in the invisible fluidity of time. A rare poet's tool of craft. Great poem, it's a top 7. Much love, my poetic friend.

Thank you, Paul ... Thank you for the appropriate appreciation ... This is so intense a nostalgia that it occurs spontaneously and almost compulsively in our sleep ... Regards ...probir

Our pleasure deriving desire drives us to fetal sleep. Why? Unconsciously we regress to the most secured phase of our life i. e. ...mother's womb. We shared the same heartbeat. And any regression or return to derive pleasure is nostalgia. ... Thank you for your observation.

wow, if this is what I think, that is taking nostalgia WAY back to the past!!! Great thinking.
