Tight write on a controversial theme, cynthia. Thanks. .. And as for the phrase "intemperate banter" left by another commenter, I thought "intemperance" implied excess of the sort in which, for example, adults imbibe in far too many perfectly legal drinks and subsequently behave like... well, you know. Just sayin'... that legality does not necessarily equate to morality, nor vice-versa.

One phrase to satiate your intemperate banter, "users become abusers". Illegal drugs are controlling substances. They bring some pleasure but ameliorate the euphoria with long term pain.
