Nobody's Puppet
I have a mind of my own….
I can think for myself.
I don’t need anyone telling me,
To be like someone else.
I have my own opinions,
I have my rights…
I will not just sit there,
And allow anyone to control me,
Or take away the things that I love.
I have my outlets,
No one can take them away from me.
I refuse to be anyone’s puppet….
I will not be controlled by anyone.
I will not move when you tell me to.
You can’t tell me what an outlet should be.
I’m nobody’s puppet.
So who are you to think,
That you can run my life?
Who are you to think
That you have that right?
I’m not your stepping stool,
Or the one you can make a fool,
I’m not the one you can control,
And treat as if I don’t have a soul.
I’m nobody’s puppet.
