Nobody's Listening
The world doesn't care unless you're pretty or dead
If you're not a Kardashian they won't care about what you said
I'm unsure if I'm here to stay or if I'm just visiting
But I'll force your ears to perk up because I'm tired of living in a world where nobody's listening
Everyone has life lessons, so I always like to hear what's spoken
So when someone talks, I keep my mouth shut and my ears are open
You never know when those words will help, so I'm thankful to share the moment
You've got to keep moving forward, you don't always need to repair what's broken
There's a reason some didn't make it to my future, I'm glad they're in my past
They think education is needless because they started using needles
I let go because drugs wasn't something I wanted in my grasp
I'm leading my life, while you allow drugs to mislead you
I've shared enough to know my biggest weakness is kindness
at times I've been mindless but the thing is I don't mind it
you get offended by words I say, which shows that you couldn't cope with the thoughts I keep
I'm trying to write words that hold value, but everyone says that talk is cheap
I never claimed to be incredible, I'm just looking for something I'm credible in
I'll only be compared to my old self, I'm not in a competition with other men
I speak my heart and I won't apologise if my words offend
But Ariana Grande will fall from the sky and land naked in my bed before I judge another human based on the colour of their skin
Don't call yourself a king or queen if you're not willing to give the one you love a crown
The one you love will be in the arms of another if you don't tell them how you feel right now
Life is too short but you want to believe you have forever
So don't expect sympathy from me when you and the person you like don't end up together
It's normal to feel sad, angry, or happy, stop being scared of your own emotions
Stop faking a smile, because it's okay to admit you need help or that you're broken
People take advantage of kind hearts, so make sure to take care of yourself
Mental health is just as important as our Physical health
People probably won't care what I say because I'm not cute or dead
This generation only care if it's something a Kardashian said
I felt the need to say this while I'm visiting
So many important lessons we all need, but we live in a world where nobody's listening
