No Tears For Death

The Choir sang “Rejoice in the LORD Always” ----- REJOICE
I Knock at Heaven’s door, His voice says come ----- IN
I gasp at the sight of Glory, in a whisper I say oh ----- MY
Since Our Everlasting Day : I wait patiently for ---- DEATH
This is the Eternity my Heart has been waiting ------ FOR
To be One with God ,Together Always You and ---- I
Holding hands with Cherubim and Seraphim as We --- JOIN
The myriads of Angels, speaking tongues, Singing ---- MY
Salvation’s song: with My Dearest, Only Most ------ BELOVED
My Wife, My Life, My Heartbeat for ALWAYS ------ LENORE
To Praise; Father, Son, and Holy Ghost for Eons of --- FOREVER

So many emotions...in the writer and in the reader...I hope your dreams are fulfilled for you are a good man. Life WITH your wife was heaven also...in many ways I'm sure and in memory you still have her, that too is a gift from Higher power one which you do not have to die to revisit. (BIG HUGS!) You are meant to be here, alive, now, "working" on something for which a "body with senses" is required...ponder why you're alive NOW...please, not how great it will be to be dead? Light & Love

Another heart felt end line, excellent write. I had a dream my mother was dressed in white ascending into Heaven when she died at 54, I was 23, I'm now 53. Been writing poems all my life. Used to put them on cards I made up when I was little, then got into typing them when I was in my twenties. Then I started writing on poetry.com in my forties. June Ellen
