No Sea Shells Can Cover Her 'swells'

A mermaid sure caused a commotion by skinny dipping in the ocean her body is bare which makes seamen stare and dreaming to rub in sun lotion An angler nets her; it’s a shocker she struggles, he grabs her left knocker This makes her irate and it seals his fate - he’s consigned to Davy Jones locker! Thanks my sweet friend, they take me about 2 minutes to write I just adore the form. I wish people wouldn't criticise me for writing bawdy poems as the limerick form is allowed to be ribald!:-) at the end of the day if they don't like my style they don't have to read - I will never change lol:-) hugs jan xx

Yessiree...a sailor can look but don’t touch...a mermaid gets rather crabby. It’s no fun at the bottom of the sea but this limerick is a whole lotta fun!

thanks Ralph it takes me about 2 minutes to write one stanza I just love writing this form. i often wake with a whole poem in my head and have to rush to write it down, 99% of the time the syllable count is perfect:-) hugs jan xx

thanks Ann, its a premiere contest so places are limited but I hope Tania likes it, her contests have brought my muse back... she went missing when I was at the cancer hospital for a week in June and I am hoping she is back for good now!:-)hugs jan xx I am STILL smiling for you my friend:-:-) xx
