Very true even in a literal sense dear John. Aside from the nonsensical we, at times, are forced to relive parts of our past we try hard to forget. And as you say, the rest was history. Makes you think this does :)

FJ, there's a whole vault of sadness, regret, hurt, sorrow, and fears that sometimes splash into our subconscious like acid. The longer we live, the more that vault seems to grow. It's a mercy it doesn't happen every night! Thanks for the visit and sharing your thoughts ~ John

Nightmares leave you feeling lost, afraid and so many other emotions. Always nice to caress a dream. Sometimes though, frightening moments occur while we sleep. Well said my friend. ~ Brandy

I wish we could tell our subconscious to play only dreams and not nightmares. I do believe bad dreams teach us something about ourselves if we're willing to listen. Thanks for your encouragement to 'caress the dream', I like that. Blessings ~ John
