No Poetry?

How sad a place the world would be
if there were no more poetry.

How could we ever sing a song
if it were blank where words belong?

It would be such a horrid curse
if the world should lose her verse!

We'd lose our love calls and romance
and places tiny angels dance.

We'd lose a special way to share
our joy, our sorrow, hope and fear.

Too sad a place the world would be
if we did not have poetry.

This is a sad thought for me. Poetry is my life. I live off of it and I would be heartbroken if this were true, unless we never had it to begin with. But to unlearn it would be hard and very scary. Raul

Yes, words are so very important! I have always believed, that they are much more valuable, than any painting could ever be! And yet, they are a painting, within the many colors of their wonders! Glimpses, thoughts, reflections, hopes and dreams---And "You," paint yours so very well!~"Again, 'Beautiful Write Beautiful Robin~My Love Always, John!"~Bye Dear Lady!:)

Good job robin..your rhythm in this one is wonderful. I agree...a world without poetry might as well be silent. BG
