No Haircuts For the Duration

Alas, due to the insidious coronavirus situation, The guv ordered barber shops closed for the duration! Now, I suppose that is of no concern to a bald-headed bloke, But since I still have a few strands on my skull, it ain't no joke! What am I to do sans my barber deftly wielding his shears, Taking some off the top and trimming about my ears? If the virus prevails many more months, I'm afraid, That I must stifle my scruffy mane with a luxuriant braid!

Picturing you in braids is, in itself, quite comical ... I must say, I do miss straight razor head-shaves at the barbers. Always found it so relaxing during and clean-feeling at the end. Hang in there, Rob. Hopefully, it'll all be over soon..

Hi Robert, you might find you like wearing it longer, and its fun trying - i cut my hair into a short bob and now it can grow as much as it likes. Hope you are keeping well and safe Robert. Blessings, Jennifer.

Enjoyed your comments - it may come to letting it grow - fortunately I can keep the sides trimmed with my electric razor but I haven't figured out the contortions it would take to do my neck! As always thanks for your support and encouragement and do stay safe - Bob

Thanks for taking time to read the write, Harry. After I retired from the AF in'78 my wife did the same thing until her failing eyesight prohibited that. The best haircuts I ever had! Hunker down and take care - Bob

Gee thanks, Gershon! Since I'm retired AF I have support at Army Fort Carson which is about 4 miles from home & their barbers are still open to keep the troops sharp. I guess I'll go there but they give GI high & tight cuts and I haven't had one of those since I retired in '78. I'd look ridiculous with a braid but sillier with a Hi and Tite. Take good care - Bob

G'day Bob … perhaps you could go back to your hippy days and put flowers in your hair. Perhaps even get out your old Bob Dylan records. Yes this virus is a nuisance but it's better to be safe that perhaps dead - thanks again Bob - Lindsay

Glad you enjoyed, Panagiota: A wig might not be a bad idea if it comes to that - at least I could conceal the long strands by tucking them 'neath a wig!! Hunker down and stay safe - Bob

Did the long hair thing in the 70's. Don't know how the whisps would react now. Nice bit of humor Robert
