No Guarantee
“There’s no guarantee,”
He said with a smile
As his arms reached for me
Desire on his face
I hesitated
“No Guarantee”
Just rang in my ear
The last failed attempt
At finding a love
guaranteed to last
Had left me a mess
Of nothingness
He was so handsome
And so desirable
I closed my eyes
To his presence
Yet his scent
Enveloped me
Demanding my attention
I wanted him
I had wanted him
For so long
With such ferver
That the risk
Seemed worth taking
.....minuscule
“No guarantee
That it will last forever...
But I can guarantee this
I will make you fly!
Are you willing
To take a chance on me?"
He asked with a knowing smile
For he knew
He KNEW he pleased me
He had power
How his words
Tantalized
And tempted me
to reach out
It drew me
Like the forbidden fruit
Calling to a modern Eve
Juicy and bright
I wanted to bite in and taste
and luxuriate in the flavor
of a paradise
that would open my eyes
to new pleasures
Making me divine!
I was unaware
That he had pulled me in
His hands tightening around me
His lips tasting mine
Oh, the sweet taste of desire
That nearly seared
My sense of reason
Nearly….
“No guarantee?”
I pushed against his massive chest
As I wiped my lips
And straightened my blouse
“The man that wins me, my sweet
Is the man who comes
With a Full Guarantee!
