No Gooders

Do gooders are hard to escape.
They're addicted to wearing the cape.
With less than a clue
Of what's good for you,
They insert then deny it's a rape!

The people here are trying to do good (I think) but because it's hard to find out what that is, we settle for something that sounds okay and spends the appropriated moneys. Job done. Elizabeth

I seem to have heard of: Too much of a good thing. On the other hand, not sure I have run across: Too much of a healthy thing, which seems to imply a sense of moral balance? Not sure, but I am drawn to limericks, so thanks for inviting me in.

Do gooders are rare. The extreme ones are delusional and don't do well in general

I'm so pleased you liked it, Linda. My work is like a hot-air balloon: I don't know how high it will go or where it's going to come down! Elizabeth

Opinion force on a captive hasn't ever been of value by the ravaged. Your piece has a nice flow

Weston, it makes me sad to realize that you probably know a great deal more about this than I do. And thanks for the note about the flow. Elizabeth

Nice lim, EM. Thanks. Don't come across many, so it's good to find one or two. :)

Thank you, Andrew! I have to watch out or I will think all day in limericks! I'm having a look at your poems now. Elizabeth
