No One Gets It Right
A ritual of mating,
the God of lust
conferring no blessing
on either sex.
just a heated dance
around each other
testing the already
sullied waters
with dirt feet
worn out on a path
tread once too often.
But then it was
something no one got
right, right?
women too scared
men overeager
or girls brazenly
bold with boys
too decent for
games in the dark.
married couples
acting like siblings
sister playing wife
to brother dear,
cousins getting
away with everything
and the old saintly
by default.
A mixed business
it is I am certain.
No one gets it right.
everyone with large
appetites for flesh
flesh and then more
flesh.
