No 20

We were Fire and Ice, even at the start.
Never could agree on anything.
But we made it work.
We made each other happy.
Happier than we had ever been.
I showed you my demons,
and you showed me yours.
I gave my all to you, and you did too.
Wasn’t that enough for you?
It got to be too much, we burned too bright.
I could start Fires with how I feel about you.
And you shut me down.
How is it that you can ignite me,
and destroy me,
All in one breath?
