Ninety-Eight Point Six

Ninety-eight point six is normal
In a human being,
Not though, on thermometers
Outdoors, which we’ve been seeing.

In people, anything above
Is fever, meaning sick,
But weather-wise, such numbers
Translate into one word – ick!

I much prefer the days in fall
Or wintertime instead,
When if my body matched
The temps outside, I would be dead.

My mother and I always have a low temp -96.5 is our norm, so here I stay, trying to look cool even when I am not.

Biden's temperature? You are never too hot until you try crossing a street in Phoenix, Arizona, during the summer whilst your flipflops melt into the asphalt . . . . especially whilst waiting for the traffic lights to change! Aloha!

I hear what you're saying, Ilene, but I still prefer the heat of summer to the coldest day in winter. I can always take off clothes, but in cold, I no matter how many I put on, I'm still cold! I guess there is a season for everyone.
