"nine-Eleven"
The tragedy came on a September day
nine-eleven as a matter of fact-
A devious plot in a cowardly way,
the day the United States was attacked!
Death and destruction came from the air
As the jets slammed into the glass,
Crumbling the towers that stately stood there,
Terror had struck our homeland at last!
The hijackers tried to take out our heart,
But some citizens would strike a good blow-
While the towers were burning and falling apart,
The cry that went out was "Lets Roll!"
In a Pennslyvania corn field they crashed
All heroes no matter their race-
While firemen in New York dug through the ash,
Many were thankful for God's saving grace!
I'll never forget those terrible scenes,
Bringing such terror by misguided zeal-
I'm wishing it was some sudden sad dream,
But, I'm afraid it's one that's only too real!
