Night's Prayer
With day full of sleep,
moon falls in the river.
Its beams danced on water
with shadows of trees
to beat of rhythm
from wind till it died
and was buried by music
of the quietness of night.
You could near hear hush
of stars as they shine
with a song of frogs
engaging and mellow
and the chirping of crickets
was only in whispers.
With perfume of flowers
giving weight to the air
in cool of dark beauty
night's peace granted prayer.
