The shy sun withdraws behind purple hills As the dark sky lights up with silvery stars. Oh, what beautiful scene, it fills me with thrills. I go my way amongst the winding narrow paths Of the dimly lit quaint houses of the small haven. Breath-taking vista, night after night it lasts. Soon I betake myself to my most popular tavern. My stomach rumbles a bit with lack of food. The Italian chef beams at me, twirling his moustache, “What speciality shall we serve you, what is your mood?” I decide to let the famous chef choose for me. I know his tastes as he knows what I need. Suddenly I hear of an ethereal tune of the deep sea, As my charming Martha comes with her romantic song. Ah, my sweet fantasies and yearning affections Send me to seventh heaven as she twirls her skirt so long. The meal I eat as I watch her dance. But soon Her lavender fragrance fills me with joyous call. All is quiet as she sits on my lap, such is our nightfall.

It must have been heavenly ! The intoxicating ambiance, the bewitching music and dance, the food so palatable to your mouth and to top it all the serpentine beauty on your lap.... ! Belle and beauty, glamour and romance, a wonderful combination !!

This is lovely Victor. I can see you walking the quiet streets to your favorite tavern for a meal. I see the lovely girl dancing and almost hear the music. Beautiful imagery and a very peaceful feel to this. Well done. God Bless, JB

a beautiful scene you created. I like it better than the sailing scene since it involved food and dance!

Victor! Moving with you in this marvel, sensing the night, the sight of hills, stars, paths, people. Feeling like I were there! Could see the chef and a menu, see Martha, too! A great trip for me. Thank you! Xoxo. sally

Victor, your night ended brilliantly, as far as I can tell. My favorite aspect of your story is how you use nature to construct a love and fantasy story set in fragrant dusk. You've also done an excellent job with nightfall.
