Night Terror's Alibi
wake up crying
countless times before
this time stands out
because now i know why ive been doing it
the shocking truth
of my subconcious mind
angry minds
voicing their frustration
my narcisistic mind takes it personal
all day long
it adds up
it adds up
paid to hate
paid to make others feel the same
and i don't
so i though
at least i dont want to
i wanted to help you
your spindle of strings unwinding
is consuming
like a wildfire coming my way
seen in time
all i have left to do is strategicly
set my own flame
of the brush
and leave myself an island of green
among the grey of ash
as the hate burns your way
woke up crying again this morning
night terrors too much to take
too much to illustrate
too much to set free
too much to express
angry minds wanting justice
angry minds wanting revenge
angry minds seeking many things
my narcisistic mind takes it personally
and the likes of you has noticed me
you knew someone out there would be like me
and that didnt stop you
from picking this fight
teaching yourself how to arm yourself with new weapons
to protect yourself from the bully
the bully
you have become to me
the victom i represent
you seem to recognise in the mirror
so why am i soo inferior
when you spout off all your anger to the world
and leave me high and dry
head on the floor
taking your rath personally
there will be room for your second helping my helpless dear
there will be more than an adequate amount of endless tears
upon my reception of the clicking of the gears
that yes the world works in this way
and when it occurs to you
the spindle unravels the wool
the wool your spinning far outy of your focuslessness
the book you are judging
self employed and no way of proviong it
an empire of a torture machine
waiting for the day they are outsmarted by the student
to throw the pupil away
student patiently waiting to thread the eye
a stitch in time
it just might make sense
all in due time
due to you in time
side by side
the company you keep
my friends may be your enemies
mind your q's
and i'll be gentle to those who weep
narcisus awake blaming the nightmare on everyone
not realising how selfish they are
selfishness is not the way to utopia
angry minds will not lead yopu to your pasture of greener grass
angry minds seeking justice
laugh loudest but do not have the last laugh
my night terror's alibi
keeps the truth from me
and for now you should be appalled and happy with that ending
