Hi there! Thanks for working on haiku with us! Please do not capitalize. line 1 the subject is ok yet you do not need the word "start" it is inferred yes? I am not being strict about the 5/7/5 as long as you have less than 17 syllables. Line 2 (very good..verb does belong in this line) please put ... or -- at the end of line 2 to indicate the cut or juxtaposition in line 3! Hope this helps! Light & Love

What a great Haiku to describe the celebration of fireworks Francine... u need some ... after burst in your second line to show emphasis on the verb action.. according to Debbie's rules... she is a TEACHER all the way through.. so hope u don't mind my telling u.. hate to see anyone disqualified because of simple ... ... the oohs and aahs I am enjoining myself right now being on vacation in lovely Hawaii... what a treat... thankxxx for your sweet comments Francine.. aloha.. "Sweetheart"
