Night Sky Musing

I looked up to the sky tonight and it was velvet black it appeared so soft and smooth that I could touch it it seemed that a hundred stars were blinking up above but one was large and more brilliant and dazzling brighter I am sure it was Venus shining down like a spotlight on me and the dark moon was facing away and could not be seen it was a magical sky and I could not take my eyes away ___________________________ July 15, 2020 Poetry/Verse/night sky musing Copyright Protected, ID 20-1268-442-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for Strand New (10) sponsor, Brian Strand First Place

Summertime is a lovely time for stargazing as the nights are warmer. My wife and I have been outside searching for the comet this week, but so far no sightings. Congrats for your #1, Constance ~ John

I recall gazing at all the stars in the sky when I was young, nowadays you don’t see as many with all the pollution; I suppose it kind of parallels life. Congrats on your win, Constance. Hugs, John

Yes, what a shame. The light pollution is so bad almost everywhere that we can't even see our own galaxy, the Milky Way
