Night of Love's Remembrance
How my hands, in prayer, trace your face
Among a lattice of night stars
To bestow true devotion's grace
As kisses of yesteryears charm my breath...
That I hum our familiar lullaby,
And In return, you call to ask if all's well
On this day of love, as I clutch the same roses...
Ambrosial, crisp, the way you'd arrange them
From our garden lush as passion blue--
That thoughts gentle as moonlight
Speak for two while my fingers note down
Love's eternal reveries , the languid memoirs
Of twilight's passage from your shadow's goodbye:
Yet, for odd and even numbers of each hour,
I dare cherish...to walk this path with you.
