Among frozen diamonds of the night
Somewhere in the Big Bear hides my quarry
Sparks on black satin backdrop fill my sight
Trillions of miles from their flaming glory
Somewhere in the Big Bear hides my quarry
The telescope’s servo motors whirring
Trillions of miles from their flaming glory
Seeking the ancient starbeams enduring
The telescope’s servo motors whirring
Almost eclipsed by a star shining bright
Seeking the ancient starbeams enduring
Faint luminous blush, lesser shade of night
Almost eclipsed by a star shining bright
Wan spiderweb, a billion suns glowing
Faint luminous blush, lesser shade of night
Iridescent pearl arms overflowing
Wan spiderweb, a billion suns glowing
Light hits my eyes, forty million years old
Iridescent pearl arms overflowing
Suddenly, hair stands on end, blood runs cold
Light hits my eyes, forty million years old
The oddest sense, from the light that I see
Suddenly, hair stands on end, blood runs cold
Someone, or something looks right back at me
The oddest sense, from the light that I see
Souls meeting through the ancient photon stream
Someone, or something looks right back at me
Or just this stargazer’s starshine daydream?
Souls meeting through the ancient photon stream
Sparks on black satin backdrop fill my sight
Or just this stargazer’s starshine daydream?
Among frozen diamonds of the night
