There once was a young man from Jupiter
Who always did things a bit stupider---
   Cooked an egg, didn't turn it
   Boiled water and burned it---
His next flame won't find him any cuter.

Gershon humorous limericks are not a sign of a "wannabe!" I personally find them quite difficult. Trust me I've read some horrible limericks LOL! Thank you so much for the compliment; at the same time don't ever diminish your own skills :) In my opinion the status of 'real poet' will always be in the eye of the reader. ;) And sorry for the name change. I went ahead and put my original back up.

Lol well I would have rather have remained in the 'shadows' but other reasons have push me back out.

I'm sure that 'real poets' don't even bother with these goofy limericks---which makes you a real poet, Shadow!!...As for me, a struggling wannabee, if I'm in a silly mood, these limericks just come pouring out, so to speak---be it a good thing or not. At any rate, your visit and encouragement are much appreciated! :) gw
