New Years Resolutions
New Year’s resolutions good or bad,
Eat less, exercise more, so much to subtract and add
I am determined to be me, full of tenacity
Though some may be apt not to agree
I am not in the habit of making resolutions
Year after year with no solutions
As the habit of making plans, of criticizing,
Sanctioning my life is a daily event to behold
Everyday something new will have to unfold
But here we are almost out of time
At the 12th hour the bells will chime
And new beginnings will start
I hope it brings someone close to my heart
