I had a few glasses of wine Hogmany. One Brandy on my birthday, Jan 4th, and one pint of Tennant's Lager in town today as I'm still on holiday and I went shopping for some holiday clothes.....

You are super talented at making stories out of footles, Jan. I never did mine that way and I admire your different keen approach. This is a great way to start the new year with this post. Do English pronounce morning and dawning the same? I think I heard something like that when visiting the east coast!

Yes morning and dawning are pronounced the same over here - i so love the simplicity of the footles and have great fun with them - thanks so much for all your encouragement as you can tell i am having the time of my life writing:-) Hugs Jan xxx

What? You already stopped drinking. In Ireland they can't celebrate New Years with drink because they would have to stop in order to start. 40 bottles of whiskey are bought every second by the Irish and that's just the Whiskey.

You are so funny. I am a boring soul who usually stays home on the 31st. It only took one time with too much fun to make me behave! Thank-you so kindly for your comment and humor.

I HATE new year Duke - never go out and celebrate I find it very depressing and in my current situation I don't need more sadness and stress but I am so so glad to see the back of 2014 which has been my worst year ever:-( Hugs jan xxx

I rarely drink David but I had the tiniest glass of wine just slightly bigger than a thimble lol to toast the new year in with my parents as we know it will be dad's last. I got asked by my doc last year how many units of alcohol I drank I said about 20 - his eyes looked to the sky until I said - in a year! Prefer my cuppa tea any day:-) Hugs jan xxx

I'm in a happy frame of mind at the moment Arthur just never know when the tears are going to hit - usually when I am way back after visiting parents but that's understandable - main thing is I'm writing:-) hugs jan xxx
