New World King
Someone who cares, someone who feels
the pain of others he will heal
Someone who understands the reason why
we all grow old and have to die
Someone who can make a permanent change
someone we all know, it's not so strange
There is such a man though some don't believe
born from a woman, from God was conceived
He came down from heaven to live as a man
to feel our pain, and to understand
What it feels like to be oppressed
suffer injustice, to feel distressed
To feel loved by some, hated by the rest
in spite of it all he did his best
to help everyone know his Fathers love
and that he was the one whom we could trust
He healed the sick, helped the weak
about God's kingdom he would speak
He fed thousands with a few small fishes
he always obeyed his Fathers wishes
To listen to him was always refreshing
all were encouraged, received a blessing
those who ate well, wanting everything
came to his side to make him their King
They saw first hand how good life could be
problem was, they were thinking selfishly
they didn't understand that it was not the time
for him to rule as King, it would take quite a while
He knew that he needed to pay the ultimate price
by giving his perfect life as a ransom sacrifice
And that's what he did, he died for all of us
by dying for all he was showing that God was love
He was not abandoned by God in the grave
he was resurrected by Him on the third day
He went back to heaven at God's right hand to wait
to receive the Kingship at the appointed time and date
He told his true friends that He would come back again
He gave them signs, to help them understand when
We don't know the day or the hour that's true
but we see all the signs and we know that it's soon!
When he comes back as King all the world will know
the time has arrived for this old world to go
At last, we will enjoy true peace and security
Under the rule of our compassionate, New World King.
