New Friends, True Friends, a Collaboration With Robert Dufresne
In ones life time how many friends?
Really, how many, can you count?
True friends, close friends, can you count,
Friends who, stay until the bitter end
One there for you and you there for the other,
An insuperable supporter, an all out ally,
A comrade in spirit, whether you laugh or cry,
A sinner, a forgiver, a true sister or brother
Someone to hug you, when alone in despair,
A brother, not necessarily by blood, mated in soul,
Who always brings you up, never below,
When in your deepest darkest hour says " I Care"
In the eternal second, how many friends, in this short story,
A few if we are blessed, but I'm willing to wager a bet,
There are hundreds of thousands, we've not yet met,
Until the end, when with them, we'll walk into glory
Some say, you could never meet or have a friend on the net,
I say balderdash, and so far from being true,
Friends can be from anywhere, a Friend just like You!
Robert and Rick, New Friends, True Friends, I'm Glad we met
This is a collaborative piece I was Graced by God to be able to write with
my New Friend Robert Dufresne. And what a joy it was....
