New Form Implied Metaphor Poetry - What Am I

What Am I ********** Dad, thumped a warning! Silence, now pronounced. Smelt, a red patch crawling. A future death announced! What am I? The field dead, now haunted. The thumping did suffice. The patch stood, up sauntered. A thumping way of saving life! What am I?

Wild, yes, nuclear, no! There are two directly referred to and many indirectly. Note the last line.

You would not know me Im from a distant planet... You would not know me from any other... I have shapeshifter charms... I have learnt to write poetry... Inventing it I have no qualms... But who am I-I have answered... Oh yes it' all fiction... haiku my addiction... some say an affliction... if only all were of that ilk... satin smooth as silk... my quill invites words... to fill blank paper... my muse guides my hand... now I ponder on your name... I know it but are you the same... Does Uganda ring a bell... Two brothers and a sister... Mum and Dad I knew quite well... That's me sorted, but in the poem there are two directly referred to and many indirectly.
