New England Winter

I tap my foot restless... The snow continues to cover. In a torrent- my torment. Taking my sweet years with it. As I age and forget. With all that remains- I regret. I retreat in my cave and curse the gray days. A thief in the night, I awake…to an empty chamber- my heart. I cannot take another New England winter. To face myself in the mirror.
