New Day
Chains of the past drag us down,
because we allow them to.
Just break the bonds of this death,
to do what is good and right.
From frozen waste comes new life,
A New Year And a New Day,
Full of opportunity.
Grab a hold, without complaint,
And it will start to work out.
Did you design your own bed?
Are you where you want to be?
Just as a new day rises,
and a phoenix from the ashes,
we can start again at life.
For it is like growth in spring,
beginning unseen, to rise,
then, as a flash, it breaks forth,
So, the barren world can live.
Look above for all your help,
and Pray to be born again.
Nothing can stop you, my friends,
for it's life that's on your side.
Let the pain roll off your back,
rising up to battle death,
We can begin a new day.
