Notes About The Poem

New Beginnings

Natalia’s expecting her very first child
Early morning sickness thankfully it is mild
When feeling first kick, husband and wife smiled
 
Baby names chosen for girls and boys
Eager friends buy clothing and soft toys
Great excitement at Natalia’s due date
Isaac and Natalia simply cannot wait
No sign of contractions, the time drags by
Next day labor and baby gives a hearty cry
Incredible joy when they take baby home
Now life’s complete with their son Jerome
Getting into routine, they’re finding it strange 
Sleep deprivation – both hope that will change!

The miracle of the birth of a brand new life is so over the top amazing. The sleepless nights that ensue and devotion in the care of the new little bundle of sweetness is the definition of love in real life. Choosing others above ourselves! My first would wake me up @ night and just want to take it all in, just contentedly looking around, I was so tired!
