Never Will

I spoke... You listened but did not hear Too distracted to care Didn't see the weight I was carrying And now what? Now that I'm gone do you feel it? Do you finally know how it crushed me? I alone was responsible for the savage emptiness, For the uncontrollable sadness that tore out my heart each day... But you'll never know, will you? Never know how I needed you to hear what I could not say To carry, just one thing... And now... You never will!

Hello Roy Wilde, so good to hear from you. Yes wounds still hurt. i understand that very well. I am getting over wounds from my husband that died 9 years ago. I am feeling better now. iI put the pain of that time behind me. I am moving on. looking ahead. because it is not good to be oin the pass. It is now that counts. i will be reading your poetry. Dear Roy, it's so frustrating and hurtful to feel like you're not being heard. You express your emotional needs being neglected, your feelings of leaving and the realization that your departure didn't make a difference to the person you left, the person you needed to actually listen to you, with poignant poetic finesse. Soulful poetry. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
