Never To Be Found Again

Nightmares creep and swallow her whole
nothing is left but an empty shell
She is no longer home

Dreams are now a thing of the past
Shadows are cast. Alone
she sits her dark room

She stays alone and cries every
night she has nothing to do
with her lonely life

She tries to break free of
this endless hurt but now nothing is left
and she has no reason to carry on

She takes the blade and holds it tight
she will now be able to sleep
peacefully tonight

No one knows what led to her end
all that is known is that she is lost
and never to be found again.

Most folks who commit suicide are killing a stranger ... if they only knew that they are a Child of God, they might get help to live ... smile ... great write here, Brittany and in the last stanza you might want to change the word "lead" to "led" and then it will be perfect ... smile ... congratulations on this well-deserved selection to be featured this week here at the Soup!!

Sara I would like you to know that this is not me and I just feel that this is such a sad topic but needs to be known because so many die but so many recover when they do not die. I had a friend who did this and that is why I wrote this.

Did lonely away or did she die from cutting herself? This is a tragic topic on which you have written but many do experience this in their lives. I hope that it is not you and if it is that you are getting help. Welcome to soup and keep the creative pen flowing. Sara
