Never Ending

It's not the same
and never will be again...
those days when love was new
that I never thought would end,
my head in the clouds

Springtime was no longer a season,
but a warm feeling inside
regardless of the time of year
I never thought would end
till winter came

While I travel my thoughts do as well,
back to that time when nothing
else mattered and every happiness
that I thought would never end
engulfed me in bliss

And as I stare at the night sky
hoping for anything, a word, a smile
all I find is darkness staring back
reminding me that this emptiness I now feel
will never end...

God I miss her

Very melancholy write, but so heartfelt, Chris. The extremes of emotion is like the seasons themselves ... changing, yet settling into a temporary permanence. Keep moving towards the light, brother. Fine penning this poem be. Love and joy forever.

Yeah, it is strange how love changes colors, seasons, food, gestures even, into feelings and warmth. Doesn't it? hia is a beautiful poem my friend.
