Never Be Anxious To See Tomorrow
NEVER BE ANXIOUS TO SEE TOMORROW
Now the candle must hold the candle stick
And the crescent moon cries out at noon
When shall the sun visit its end
And leave the earth a battered friend
The hen sleeps early and early rise
But has never been healthy, wealthy or wise
Men use their tongue to count their teeth
And find in their members some hanging meat
For in the dark end with murmuring wind
The vultures sing with voices so kind
Cascading from the nner man
A powerless force to promote a spam
After every twilight comes no dawn
For dusk is repeated in every town
Never be anxious to see tomorrow
Aye! it brings no life the dead can borrow
Today is the tomorrow yesterday craved
For tomorrow remains unseen until man's grave.
