Nearly Gone Nk
now nearly gone
summer's phase
brighter sun
longer days
sunset blaze
relaxed ways
outdoor fun
that did amaze
seems like yesterday it began-
the summer solstice date
that long-awaited phase
when springtime did abate
to more progressive days
pale buds and blossoms gone
to fuller blooms and trees
we wish our summer could hold on
