Naught But a Dream I Once Dreamt
I dreamt a dream of a woman./
(And) I saw things upon which I had no belief./
Was this some fiery goddess or an angel sent down to me?/
And so I fathomed.../
By myself, what her and I did til the day that we touched./
And so seeing you, I wondered.../
Where do you come from???/
And if so.../
Where have we met???/
Maybe some purgatory or some past life seen./
No matter where that may be,/
That's neither here nor there./
What matters here and now, is.../
Where again can we meet./
You're a wildfire in essence/
Traversing a sea;/
The cause and effect of the ripples that are the construct of my dreams./
If these dreams had a face.../
Then yours I would see./
If these dreams had a thought.../
Then you is what they'd think./
I can try to hide the fact, that I'm more or less inveigled by you./
Nevertheless.../
I'm sure you've seen through that mask./
You've seen that I can't take my eyes off of you./
Some things just can't be helped.../
Like how these thoughts leap forth from my brain,/
Repelling their way down.../
Way down through the fine channel of this ink-pen's dark vein.
Same can be said of your beauty.../
It's so hypnotic, (It's) like my kryptonite./
I can't help to succumb to it./
All the balls in the world, and this bad ass attitude,/
Can never hide the fact, that I can't stop thinking about you./
