Nature's Hidden Trails
I like trekking through the woods in the Fall:
it's an excellent way to relieve stress.
The crunch of leaves, or a scolding crow's call,
signals that summertime is in recess.
As a child, I'd romp through the woods near home,
eager to explore Nature's hidden trails.
And rather than stay put, I loved to roam,
chasing down local stories and tall tales.
Serene and natural: Nature lures me
with Her quietude and unique places.
And though Autumn colors are a must-see:
Fall is but one of Her many faces.
Nature's beauty surpasses any book:
if you wish to see it, you need but look.
