Notes About The Poem

I left out pettiness and childishness, but they're both there. Is there anyone else for which we can vote? I guess none of these can get elected on their own merits.

Nasty Nasty Politicians

Nasty Nasty Politicians
By Franklin Price
2/27/2016

Nasty nasty politicians
Seems are from the devil sent
Not from heaven that's for sure
They make that more than evident

Innuendo at the least
Bad decisions from long past
Personal appearance habits too
Slander also far from last

Posted on the internet
Photo-shopped, changed the name
Nothing is untouchable
Truth or not are all fair game

When it looks all might be lost
Dig deeper down into the mud
Pull out dull knives make it hurt
What can they do to draw more blood

Personally I've had enough
Just how nasty can they be
Think I'll turn the TV off
And stay in bed so I can't see

A poem apparently deeply felt and very well expressed.

Thanks for visiting Arlene. We need to be serious about the condition of this country.

Wow, sent this to them and see if they change. No, a waste of time for sure.

I feel the same way. It has become a circus. We teach our kids not to be bullies...and this is the example set before them. These...men wanting to be President of a country. Great writing, Franklin. Also, congrats on becoming a Lifetime member. Sincerely, Elaine

Good analogy with the circus; since there were some references to big ears and make-up. Thanks for visiting and your comments.

Interesting poem showing much talen and experience.Nasty politicians everywhere. At first, God made man honest, intelligent and member of party (joke from the Golden Age, when it was just one Party). But there were too much three qualities,so...

Politicians would be entertaining if they weren't so foolish. Thanks for visiting.

Franklin: This may be one of those times "The Price Is Right". :o) However: I don't see The Ohio Governor or the Good Doctor getting involved in this "dog fight" except to protect themselves. Thanks for putting in such a great rhyme what most of us are thinking. :o) oldbuck

Nasty nasty indeed so many of them are, though at first they might seem sweet, that is only from afar. Yep, nearly all of them , in every corner of the world, care only for power and their pockets. Excellent topic !
