Darknened memroies fill my mind
And all I wish to do is curl into a ball and cry.
To flail and rage
Against the hurt and the pain.

Then a voice of reason gently invades
The chaos and pain.
My heart wails, my nails cut into my palm, so hard are my fists curled.
But, against my raging heart, I listen.
And, slowly, the rain fades.

You, my friend, remind me
That even if it seems my world burns
That there is reason.
That there is hope.
That hurt is not everything
That my world is not, in fact, aflame and in ruin.

Even as the world burns
You are my solice.
The voice of reason that prevents me from becoming lost to the chaos.
Not alone
Smart and more than capable

You remind me of who I am
That the strengh I once had is not, in fact, gone.
I am still me.
I am spitfire and kindness.
I am one in more than a million.
That I am forever foolishly selfless, if not sometiems simply foolish.

I cherish you more than you know
More than any words in any language can say.

The brother I wish I had.
The friend I've spent my life looking for.
A sun that will never fail to rise in the east.
Everything that I could hope myself to be.
