Notes About The Poem

Naked Too Late For Contest

Autumn is a thief! She stole my gown of gold She let it fall gently onto the ground out of my reach! Naked …I'm totally naked, denuded of my fabulous fallen frock Now I'm at the mercy of the wild wicked winter winds I’ll shiver until spring brings me a new dress of vibrant green Not posted in time for contest 11~13~16

Believe It or Not Jan... Yesterday Noah and I we're walking through our neighborhood and of course the trees are naked... most of them that is... He calls me over to one of the trees which are still mostly leaves left on the branches to point out this one deformed branch I said, oh now I see it son... he says don't worry pop... Soon when the cold really gets here you'll get a better look at it!. LOL sometimes naked is damn beautiful... Much love, james

Thanks James I guess a few trees are desperately trying to hold on to their leaves - many here are bare and it does make me all too aware winter is well and truly on its way:-( hugs Jan xx

Autumn is beautiful, to be sure, but it's a terrible letdown at the same time! Here where I live most of the leaves have fallen by our seasonal winds and the cold is slowly returning. The malls already are glittering with tacky christmas decorations, trees, and that ubiquitous christmas music. Thanks for stopping by. / M

I love this time of year but unfortunatley winter is just around the corner and I hate the cold in fact my thermal vest has made its first outing this week lol:-) Oh I'm sure there's a poem about the tacky side of Christmas just waiting in the wings in your humourous style Maurice! :-) hugs Jan xx
