this is gorgeous work, Eve! Love the imagery like in that part: "writhe the path" with great alliteration!! Great model poem.

Wonderful, enchanting picture you painted there, Eve. It's like a fantasy painting - just love it. And to top it all the shape is like Alladin's lamp! Maybe the witch and the genie will work out some magic spells. ~karam~

Your contest intrigued me enough to come here and what a gem I found! Not only do I like this form (don't know that I ever noticed it before), but I truly enjoyed your poem of great imagery. You give enough imagery to set the readers imagination free - you don't lock the reader in, but give them tools thru your words to imaginatively go where they will. A gem, Eve ... CayCay

very coolness, Eve....love it! inspires me! am going camping with one of my Daughters (28, lives in Chi-Town)next Month to one of our magic forest places in Minnesota....The true source of the Mississippi, on Elk Lake, connected to Lake Itasca but not worthy of title according to Henry Schoolcraft, leader of the expedition, guided by Chief Ozawindib who told him the true source, but was rejected! WE know the very spring in the hill above the Lake that originates the great river....jimbo
