My World
I hide in a tunnel of darkness
In my own world
Hoping one day to be understood
For who I am
And not dragged along the way
To make others look good
In their moment
I cry in My tunnel
Because no one else can cry for me
My emotions being on point
Allow me to be free
Allow me to recognize my humanity
I laugh in my tunnel
Giving God praise for my life
Who I was then
And who I am today
His Bride
I pray in My tunnel
Every day til dawn breaks
So I can remain earthly good
Until Christ comes
But never forgetting who created me
And finally
I walk through my tunnel
Taking all who will come with me
To see light in a new way
To see light on a new day
Every Day
Experiencing His World
Because His World
Will always remain
My World
