My World

My World-(Rap Poem by Josner Saintil) I live in a world where Democrats are not democratic I live in a world full of drugs...and crack addicts. I live in a world where Republicans want to do nothing or pass unfair laws Often using some restrictions to slow something down...or using some type of ''clause.'' I live in a world with systematic monopolies Everyone only cares about getting money from the economy. I'm from a place where everybody cares only about themselves Nobody gives a damn about anybody else! I live in a world where everyday we shed tears Still no one hears or dares to calm these fears. I live in a world that needs a God. Still, I still don't see Him doing His job! I live in a world where everyone's just fed up. But they don't think... 'cause givin’ up is just not enough. I wonder if Martin Luther or Lincoln would look down, Would they be disgusted at seeing all this messed up stuff?! I used to live in a world where everyone was closer though, But now they deporting children and mothers like it's just for show Trying to put fear into these strong minds...but likewise, We'll remain strong forever more. I was born there legally but it wasn't right. Since... my father was Haitian right? They won't even let some Cubans pass, Or people from places that need saving now, and from the past. I was from that place where unfair laws were made Now I'm here and everything's the same. No I'm not against the world, I just don't like its ways... But, somehow, I still keep dreaming of better days. Days when we all can be together and truly free. When the world's not a hidden cave or a monopoly. Where all Earth's children can come hand in hand together and finally say, "Thank you God for these blessed days!"
