My World
Some nights
I ascend into a world where only I reside.
Gorgeous sights,
Vibrant colors,
This might just be my paradise.
I run free.
No worries,
No queries,
No fears.
My mind feels forever clear.
A place where I embrace the wind on my face
And the chill of the breeze
As I fly pass the beautiful palm trees.
The sense of freedom manifests my body.
I believe no one can stop me.
No one can soar as smooth or gracefully.
This is my kingdom,
A sanctuary where I can truly be original.
Light as a feather.
No stormy or bad weather.
Just the peaceful rays of a sunny day.
I descend back to the delicate earth.
Lay in the field of green,
Feeling the soft grass on my back.
Taking in all of splendor that
Radiates from this world I have built for myself.
I close my eyes,
And then hesitation surfaces.
When they open,
I am back into the actuality of the universe we all know,
Reality.
