My Winter
Endless Winter
As coldness crept into me
I withdrew
a gray-dim world welcoming
frozen youth
childhood’s icy death
leafless limbs
clawing a fractured wall
crystal tears
shattering an echoless silence
numbness
seizing the soul
anger
howling at the core
of an endless
winter.
