My Winter

Endless Winter

As coldness crept into me
I withdrew
a gray-dim world welcoming
frozen youth
childhood’s icy death
leafless limbs
clawing a fractured wall
crystal tears
shattering an echoless silence
numbness
seizing the soul
anger
howling at the core
of an endless
winter.

This is gold star poetry, John! Great lines ... childhood'a icy death ... howling at the core of an endless winter. Brilliant, soul expressive free verse. Aurora bright write. Pure poetry. Listening to a celestial soul song, "Hypnotic Love" by Maysa while reading this visceral, gritty poem. Love and joy always.

oh my gosh, you are on a roll with GOOD poems. This is not what I'd imagine for MY winter, but this is really great imagery.
