My Warm Heart

My warm heart blooms with infectious laughter. Gentle instrumental music follows long after fine lively songbird swallows touch on swift passing hours of another. Section; drape white sylvan fragrant bower as today swells with late playful sunshine. Shadows cast long and short clearly define then disappear over summer shower. Pendulum swings and once again bereft of hope, left alone. I am blessed, I still have today's sunshine, if it is thy will. Both things to eat as well things to see left. Must not get emotionally withdrawn. The sun crests the endless horizon floor. I watch with one long faint breath and sigh, for, may never wake to see the morning dawn. 8/21/2019

WOW! This is beautiful and deserved to win. I have obstructive and Central apnea, so line... "never wake to see the dawn," I experience this possibility every night, need special breathing machine and insurance needs more testing. So you see why found your entire poem, so fantastic.CONGRATS

Your imagery appeals to this aging poet. A favorite line: "Both things to eat as well things to see left." - the prayer of Agur in Proverbs 30. Well-done, congratulations on your shiny gold.
