My Two Nannies

I once had a nanny named Sue Always loved drinking Mountain Dew Loudly she slurped, And then she burped After she had sipped on the brew. I once had a nanny named Rosalee She loved to rock me on her ample knee Rosalee up and died I cried and cried and cried But I know she is in heaven with Thee.

This was funny, Mountain Dew, the greatest teeth rotter, yikes I had a nanny for my son once. I came home to find her a "little sauced" Needless to say, we quickly said adios. I soon left teaching to be the nanny. Daycare was 2 times as much money as a nanny. There are some good ones out there I'm sure. I was even one for a summer. Hopefully not too bad. Long live the good nannies! Tee hee.

Yep, but a lot of folks don't realize there are some bad ones. One bad one is too many! Thanks for your comment, Marikate.

Pure fiction. We were too poor for nannies. Besides, my momma didn't work outside the home. Back then, I don't think many mothers did.

Perhaps Sue was slightly mixed up: The nanny is supposed to burping the baby/toddler! lol. Smiles, Gershon

I think you are right, Gershon. I can't remember ever having a nanny, actually. We were too poor to afford one; besides, my mother didn't work outside the home until we were big enough to care for ourselves. Then it was only a short while, as I remember.

Thanks, Mike. Never had a nanny in my life. We were too poor! They just cropped up in my fertile mind.
