My Sweet Love - Triplets

You take my breath completely away 
You mean the world to me, my love and 
Only I have to gaze softly into your eyes 

I rememb'r all the smiles upon your face 
And when I'm sad I replay them in my mind 
My heart savorin' every time I can't replace 

Sometimes it seems I'm living just a dream 
From which I don't want ever to wake up from 
And when you're far 'way I just want to scream 

'Cause life without you can never be the same 
Love runs wild thru my veins like a roarin' fire 
And my skin burns recurring just your name.

I've written a lot of "Tercet" poems (a verse unit of three lines), and a "Triplet" or "Triad" is just another synonym for "Tercet." (Although Triplet/Triad is becoming more antiquated as words for this stanza sequence.) My recent poem of last week, "A World on Fire," was in a Tercet poetic format, but it was "unrhymed." Sorry about the confusion, a triplet form, can be from one to as many rhymed three line verses or stanzas, and also the lines can be done as: aaa, bbb etc...in monorhyme or the way I did mine in this poem. I have done triplets in many ways and even counted syllables in some of my triplets poems. Hope this information helps you more...about this form. I did look to see if there was just three stanzas but there were more so I was confused. Now everything is clear and I am happy to learn something new. Dorian Petersen Potter Date: 10/20/2014 6:50:00 PM This is a form and it means you do as many stanzas you want of 3 lines each, and they're rhymed as...abc, def, ghi, and so on...just like I did mine, no syllable count or meter is required as a rule but syllable count can be done, this is up to the poet, Brenda.
